Arriving 7 years after their last album (the longest wait between albums yet), Gigaton sees Pearl Jam back with diminishing returns on what is easily their worst album yet.

Who Ever Said is a forgettable opener — gone are the days of PJ openers like Once, Go and Last Exit. The band tries something new on songs like Dance of The Clairvoyants by adding synths, but it doesn’t quite fit their meat n’ potatoes rock style and ends up sounding haphazardly implemented. Superblood Wolfmoon is pretty embarrassing and one of the worst songs they’ve ever written. The rest of the songs are a boring slog, guaranteed to put you to sleep.

Was Gigaton worth waiting 7 years for? Absolutely not.
